A mysterious fire that started at midnight in the Borno state capital, Northeast Nigeria, has continued to blaze till dawn.
The fire has caused thousands of residents, mostly traders and their families to rush out of their houses towards the market.
In tears, traders who could not access the dark smoke coming from the market, watched helplessly.
Witnesses said the fire started at about 1:00 a.m. local time.
The burnt market is the main source of income to millions of people in the state.
