The 22 year-old retail assistant from Glasgow revealed that, off camera, the footballer gave her no clue he was going to pick Samie in last night’s brutal recoupling.
Speaking after being dumped from the ITV2 show, she said: “There wasn’t any indication at all that Tom was saying he and Samie had something really good, or that they were really
strong.
“Any comment like that would have made me think, ‘Right ok, it could definitely be Samie.’ So I definitely was surprised.” At the same time, I obviously understood. But it wasn’t
nice to hear.”
Lydia also claimed that she was still in the dark about why Tom didn’t pick her.
“I don’t know why Tom didn’t choose to couple up with me and give himself longer to get to know me, as he said he wanted to give me the same time and effort as he gave to Samie,” she said.
“For me it felt like he did want to continue things and see if it could be more than what they had.”
Lydia hastens to add that if Tom and Samie are happy, then she is “genuinely happy” for them, but she remains unsure about whether they are the real deal.
The bombshell explained: I obviously think they’re attracted to each other and get along. But I don’t think I saw too
much of them together to think they’re definitely solid.
“Before Casa I saw that they started to really get to know each other, so it was still early days from what I saw from them.”
Lydia added that she was “disappointed” in Tom and would not give him a second chance.
Asked if she would want to connect with him again if he was to leave the villa single, she said: “Probably not because of how he’s gone about things. I’m just disappointed.
“In there he did seem so lovely, so genuine, and that he didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings and cared about both me and Samie. So for me, the way he went about it, I felt like he could have given me more of a head’s up.
“Any slight comment that would have made me then think he’s more into Samie, I probably wouldn’t have felt as hurt over it and I’d have come to the conclusion that this is how it’s going to pan out.
“There would have been no risk in him taking me back. It wouldn’t have been nice for Samie, especially because she came back by herself.
She concluded: “But if he’d then explained to her that me and him did get along, then instead of cutting it short with me, he could have said he wanted to see if anything could be there and give it a longer time frame. But he chose not to do that.”
It comes as Lydia was sent packing tonight, along with Layla, Sammy, Cynthia and Lynda.
Out of the Casa Amor boys, Ryan, Frankie, Kain and Bayley got the boot.
