Flood watch in Hawaii
A flood watch is in effect from Thursday morning through Saturday afternoon in all the main Hawaiian Islands, the National Weather Service in Honolulu said.
Heavy rainfall is expected to begin Thursday on the Big Island, and it’s forecast to spread to other islands Thursday night and into the weekend.
The rainfall could cause flash flooding, officials said.
Landslides are possible in areas of steep terrain, and the weather service warned that people should not cross “fast flowing water in your vehicle or on foot.”
