Ben shared a picture of a broken heart emoji after he was accused of cheating on the TV favourite.
The Sun revealed their shock split after horrified Vanessa discovered Ben’s “double life” in a string of emails and social media messages.
The TalkTV legend, 60, has thanked people for their support as she moved on with her life after ending her relationship with Ben after 16 years following ‘cheating allegations.’
Vanessa put her best foot forward in a multicoloured dress as she spent quality time with her daughter and grand-children on a day out on Sunday.
She told The Sun at the star-studded Epic Tails screening at Vue Cinema Leicester Square: “Thank you all for your kindness. I’m doing ok.”
Vanessa joined a host of celebs including Claire Sweeney, Amy Childs, and Michelle Heaton at the thrilling family screening.
Just earlier in the morning, the TV presenter had sent out an emotional message to fans on social media.
The star appeared to hold back tears as she broke her silence on her split with 50-year-old Phats & Small singer Ben.
She said she was “incredibly sad” about the end of the 16-year relationship.
She also admitted she was “disappointed” and “shocked” after it emerged Ben had allegedly cheated on her with several women.
“Well I haven’t been on instagram for three weeks and that’s because my relationship with Ben is over after sixteen years and I honestly didn’t know what to say to you on instagram.
“But now it’s clear that it’s over and I really do feel that once the trust in a relationship is gone then you can’t really get it back and that’s what I would tell anyone else to do.”
She choked up as she continued: “And so I just wanted to say that obviously I feel incredibly sad and I am pretty disappointed and shocked and all those horrible things but also full of resolve. I am not going to let this defeat me.”
Putting a positive spin on things, Vanessa said: “I am so glad to be living longer than my mum did, she died at 57 and for the Lord’s prayers, I am going to be 61 next month.
“I am very very grateful to be alive and I want to carry on feeling that way and I want to celebrate and find fun and laughter anywhere I can.
“I know it is not going to be easy but I am absolutely determined to do it.”
