She then showed the camera what had been cleared by the tube and the results were astonishing.
She said: “So I’ve been wondering for a while now if the ear wax candles actually pull the ear wax out of your ear.”
She continued: “So there’s a line you’re supposed to burn it down to. I put some eyeliner on it so I wouldn’t forget.
“It sounds kind of like a tss tss tss tss tss.
“It’s pretty good though, it’s not hot, it doesn’t hurt. It just crackles nice.
“This is me about halfway through was just scared about the top half falling off and burning all my hair, but it didn’t so we good.”

She then unwrapped the tube to see what was inside.
The influencer said: “So here’s the verdict: I think that the light stuff is just the beeswax as it was melting.
“But the dark stuff I think is my real ear wax and that’s absolutely disgusting but also really satisfying.”
Fellow TikTokers were quick to comment on the video, which has more than half a million likes.
One person said: “It helps relieve pressure with ear aches. Helped me.”
Another said: “I’ve used them for two years because I get ear infections constantly and have to clean my ears all the time because of it. They work wonderfully.”
But not everyone agreed.
One person said: “They don’t work. It looks exactly the same if it just burns on its own.”
Another said: “First this doesn’t work, second it’s dangerous. Please don’t do this.”
A third said: “Do it without the ear… the wax will still be there.”
Another said: “They do nothing. But I had to research them many years ago.”
