Before appearing on the red sofa to speak with Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty, viewers were shown a VT on her work.

The hosts revealed nearly 30,000 were hospitalised last year for conditions associated with eating disorders.

Gemma’s charity, Seed, which was set up by her parents after her own battle, will open two new therapy rooms in Hull on Friday.

One of the rooms is named after Big Brother legend Nikki Grahame, who tragically died nearly two years ago.
