The number of lives lost on Victoria’s roads has risen, after three people were killed in separate crashes on Sunday.
In Melbourne’s north-east, a female passenger died after the car she was travelling in struck a tree at Park Orchards just after 2:30pm.
Police said three other males in the car, including the driver, were injured and officers were still determining the cause of the crash.
In northern Victoria, a driver was killed in another single-car crash with a tree at Mitchell Road in Kialla around 1:50pm.
Police are investigating whether the driver suffered a medical episode shortly before the crash.
In Victoria’s south-west, a man driving along Timboon-Port Campbell Road died after his vehicle rolled just before 3:30pm.
The deaths take the total number of lives lost on the road to 21, compared to 18 at the same time last year.
Police have urged anyone with information on the crashes to contact Crime Stoppers.
