Tanyel, 26, was the last of the main contestants to enter the villa in South Africa and swiped 24-year-old Kai Fagan from one of the girls.
Kai had only been coupled up with Olivia Hawkins, 27, for a few minutes when he was pinched by Tanyel.
Olivia was left on the singles bench, before eventually coupling up with farmer Will Young, 23.
The crafty move did not go unnoticed by last year’s finalist Indiyah Polack, who left the show with Dami Hope on her arm.
Speaking on the Love Island: The Morning After podcast, she tells co-host Sam Thompson: “Mate, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
“If all the other babes are smart, they’ll just take Tanyel’s tricks and then use it on the guys.
“Befriend her, take her tricks and take her man.”
Indiyah’s comments shocked former Love Islander Demi Jones, who was also appearing on the podcast.
“Ooh, this is sass from you, Indiyah!” Demi cried.
Although it has only been 24 hours since Tanyel pinched PE teacher Kai, things have already changed in the South African villa.
At the end of Tuesday’s Love Island, Olivia – who had been left with Will as a result of Tanyel’s actions – found herself coupled up with a new man.
Bombshell Tom Clare, 23, had been given one day to get the know the girls before choosing Olivia. The move left Will single.
The Islanders were then warned that there a recoupling will take place later this week and, whoever is single by the end of it, will be on a plane back home.
In the meantime, two new bombshells – David Salako and Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown – have entered the villa to spice things up.
