In a Tik Tok video, Mariah Grottoli hits back at the attempt to body shame her from another user of the social media platform.
“Please wear a full bathing suit the next time or don’t post,” came the comment.
In a perfect tongue-in-cheek response she says “you’re absolutely right, I will most definitely not be wearing that bathing suit to the beach again – completely inappropriate”.
She then stands up – to reveal she’s wearing the bathing suit.
“I hope this makes it okay,” she wrote on the post.
If the comments are anything to go by, it seems most people are on her side.
“Nothing wrong with your bathing suit you are stunning,” wrote one user and another said “you’re super beautiful”.
Another comment said: “Seriously what’s wrong with your bathing suit! You look fine girl ignore the haters clearly they have some insecurities!!”
It comes after another swimmer was slammed after she wore a tiny G-string swimsuit to a family water park with some branding her outfit “inappropriate.”
Footage showing the woman nearly naked in the flesh-coloured one-piece surrounded by splashing kids has divided opinion online with users saying there is nothing wrong with her swimsuit.
Meanwhile one woman in her 70s has hit back after people said her bathing suits aren’t “age appropriate”.
Colleen Heidermann said she started posting her looks on social media when she was 69 years old, and now she is signed with NEXT Models in Los Angeles.
She had a response to the naysayers who think she shouldn’t wear certain clothes meant for a younger demographic.
Quoting the public, she began: “‘This swimwear is not age appropriate,’ is what they say.”
Looking unbothered, she skipped around in a pair of tight leggings and a crop top.
