President Zelensky thanks Britain for its support this Christmas
Taking to Twitter this week, prime minister Rishi Sunak shared a message of support for Ukraine this Christmas.
Sharing a clip of what millions of Ukrainian children will be going through this Christmas, Mr Sunak said: “This Christmas, we’re with you Ukraine.”
President Zelensky responded to the emotional video, thanking the British people.
He wrote: “I’m grateful to @RishiSunak and the entire British people!
“We feel your support. We feel the light and the warmth of your hearts.
“Light always prevails over darkness.
“Thus together, we will defeat evil and restore peace in Ukraine, Europe, and the world. Merry Christmas, friends!”
